Why did you choose to coach for Valley? What do you enjoy the most about coaching for our club?

Before I became a Valley coach, my children played soccer for Valley. I appreciate that the club has a player first mentality.

Please highlight a favorite/memorable coaching moment you've had with the club.

I don't have one standout memory. We had a wonderful season. I am so proud of our girls and the way they were committed to getting better each day. There were plenty of challenging times where they were there to support each other, but they also experienced several moments of accomplishment where they celebrated together, like winning the league championship!

What is your coaching philosophy? How do you inspire your players to perform their best on and off the field?

I am committed to a player centered coaching philosophy. My job is to create a safe environment where the players can push themselves and their teammates to get better. We want mistakes. We expect mistakes. That's how players will learn and grow. I do my best to coach them to be problem solvers and good decision makers. The players that play for me realize that it's their team. It's not my team. The values we emphasize are respect, honesty, integrity, trust, and hard work. While we talk about those values, it's even more important for me to model them.
